The month is over!!!!!

January 31st-  These pants are dirty! I've been sick on and off all month and I think the cleanliness of these pants were most likely the culprit, so I'm glad to have them off! I feel I have accomplished my task of collecting my daily grime and showing wear and tear over the course of the month- this piece is finished.

Now what? --- I plan on un-doing some seams and stretching these pants on to a stretcher and seeing how this presentation reads. I plan to do some more lower body paintings, but will probably be one day events and have a specific task that I do in them. Check back soon to see what I end up doing with them...

Please comment with any ideas, comments, or suggestions.

my pants were painted with the same wall paint that's behind me.

Day 10

Dirt
Pants are getting stretched at the knee and paint is beginning to wear out.

Day 5

I've been going about my usual tasks and haven't resisted dirt anymore than I would with my usual pants. I have encountered a few rituals that have altered because of the pants. I now can't successfully dry my hand on my jeans and I also seem to change into my sleeping clothes sooner than usual. The pants don't differ that much from the non-painted pants. They are a bit stiffer and make a different sound when my legs rub together or against something.

they are cracking in places and some paint chips off.

The Canvas

Always in your pants is a new project that began on January 1st 2013 and will last for at least one month and possibly longer. I had my Levi Jeans painted white to create a clean canvas that will record my dirt and grime and also my daily wear and tear. I will continue to post pictures every few days to document the progress.
